Four shipping containers. Four thrilling multi-sensory experiences in total darkness – including past favourites SÉANCE and FLIGHT plus two new additions, COMA and EULOGY.
Melbourne-based theatre producers, Realscape Productions, in partnership with British immersive-theatre company DARKFIELD, has brought us some spine-tingling immersive audio experiences in the past: SÉANCE, which had audience members scrambling to get out halfway through when it first debuted in Federation Square in 2017, and FLIGHT, a psychological thriller that taps into the fear of being 30,000 feet above the ground and completely powerless.

In COMA, audience members are given their own bunk beds and asked to consume a small pill. The lights go out and the next half-hour makes clever use of your other senses to get everyone falling into a dream state together. And with EULOGY, a pitch-black container becomes a labyrinthine hotel where you’re taken down the halls, into a lift, through the canteen and into the car park – your experience could be entirely different to your fellow showgoers through the use of speech recognition technology.
All four multi-sensory, immersive experiences have popped up on Little Bourke Street – pick your poison. But remember, these aren’t for the faint of heart.
